THE POWER OF THE UNEXPECTED

About TED
TED is a nonprofit foundation devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment, and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities worldwide.
TED is a global community, that welcomes people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives, and, ultimately, the world.
About TEDxEsade
TEDxEsade was created with the aim of sharing powerful ideas with students, provoking discourse amongst them, and inspiring the development of tomorrow’s great thinkers.
Since its inception in 2011, TEDxEsade has sought to fulfill these goals and continues to provoke thought and debate through its annual event. TEDxEsade identifies with the TED mantra of ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’, and actively seeks out unexpected, breathtaking, daring, and challenging messages, which are conveyed through mind-opening talks.
TEDxEsade is an independent TEDx event and is operated under a license from TED.

THIS YEAR's EDITION

Serendipia
Life is often portrayed as a journey to perfection, where mistakes are seen as a misstep toward failure. Making mistakes is not only inevitable but an integral part of our personal growth.
But there is something even more magical than making mistakes. It is the concept of Serendipia, where unexpected discoveries occur when we least expect them.
By embracing Serendipia, we open ourselves up to the possibility of discovering something valuable and life-changing, even in the midst of our mistakes. In a world that demands perfection, it's easy to forget that our flaws and mistakes are what make us human. They give us the chance to reflect, learn, and ultimately grow.
So let us embrace the concept of Serendipia and welcome our mistakes as valuable opportunities for growth and self-discovery.
