About TED
TED is a nonprofit foundation devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment, and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities worldwide.
TED is a global community, that welcomes people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives, and, ultimately, the world.
About TEDx Esade
TEDx Esade was created with the aim of sharing powerful ideas with students, provoking discourse amongst them, and inspiring the development of tomorrow’s great thinkers.
Since its inception in 2011, TEDx Esade has sought to fulfill these goals and continues to provoke thought and debate through its annual event. TEDx Esade identifies with the TED mantra of ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’, and actively seeks out unexpected, breathtaking, daring, and challenging messages, which are conveyed through mind-opening talks.
TEDx Esade is an independent TEDx event and is operated under a license from TED.
